Rosa damascena. Prized in perfumery for the depth of its scent, the Damask rose is where our story begins. For RUH & ROUĂ, it also carries a connection: to the fields of Sultanpur, to our founder’s roots, and to a new creative home in Romania.

The ambition began with a place we wanted to carry into the world.
Our founder’s roots are in Sultanpur, Pakistan, where rose cultivation is part of local life. For us, these fields give the rose its personal meaning. They are the starting point of the house we are building.
We wanted that connection to travel with the flower. We want someone discovering our rose in Bucharest, Paris or Copenhagen to encounter something of the place where it began, and to make a new connection of their own.
RUH & ROUĂ grows from that ambition: to take something meaningful from home, give it a distinctive artistic expression, and share it with people far beyond where it began.

THE HEART OF THE FLOWER.
Rose oil is the aromatic centre of our collection, with extraction rooted in Pakistan. Rose essential oil comes from distilling the flowers, gathering their fragrance into a concentrated material prized in perfumery. It gives our work its starting point.
AN ARTISTIC HAND IN ROMANIA.
Romania is where we give that starting point a visual identity of our own. Botanical engraving, bold red, open white space and fine gold details shape the world around the rose. Our work here is creative: illustration, design and the way the collection is presented.

Ruh means soul or spirit in Urdu. It speaks to the personal meaning behind the house: the place we come from, and the part of home we want to carry forward.
ROUĂDEW · ROMANIAN
Rouă means dew in Romanian. A fresh beginning, held in a small word. It brings our creative home into the name, beside the roots that started it all.

YOUR STORY.
From our base in Romania, our ambition is to bring this rose house to people across Europe. We are creating for every gender, and for the different ways a scent or a daily ritual can become personal.
Our first chapter brings together five rose oils, a lip balm and six candles. From a personal skincare ritual to a sculptural object for the home, each carries the house’s floral point of view. What it comes to mean is yours.
Our debut collection is in development. We look forward to sharing it with you.
